Performance

W/w is a performance that follows Mary, an autofictional character, an aspiring artist and writer, in conflict with the world around her. Confined to the porch of her family home during the COVID-19 lockdowns, Mary is searching for a new form, a larger territory to occupy. Throughout the prose progression, Mary adopts new identities before coming to the startling realisation she is Mother Ireland.

Iterations of this performance include Pallas Projects/Studios, Dublin (2025); West Cork Literary Festival (2025); Studio 12, Backwater Artist Group, Cork City (2024); Sirius Arts Centre, Cobh, Co. Cork (2023); and CCA Theatre, Glasgow (2022).
