W/w is a work of autofiction engaging with supressed feminine archetypes. The work directly addresses the position of women in the Irish constitution.
W/w reflects on the art historical idea of the grid alongside different reverberations of Irish culture. The work exists as a multi-dimensional novella that spans a publication, sound and moving image, painting installation and performance. The narrative follows Mary, an aspiring artist and writer, in conflict with the world around her.
